Secondary and post-secondary students (including apprentices) competed in more than 60 skilled trades and technologies challenges in the areas of robotics, welding, auto body, carpentry, mechatronics, computer-aided manufacturing and more. The contest gives participants the opportunity to showcase their skills, talent and knowledge, while networking with partners from industry, labour, government and education.

In order to make the 20th Ontario Technological Skills Competition a reality, more than $5 million worth of tools, equipment, material and supplies were donated by sponsoring organizations.

A team from the Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning took home first prize in the mechatronics category. A student from Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology came in first place in the computer-aided manufacturing category at the post-secondary level.
