Endress+Hauser opens new temperature production facility

Written by  MA Staff June 27, 2011
Swiss instrumentation and process automation company Endress+Hauser has officially opened a new temperature production facility in Greenwood, Ind. The 12,000-sq.-ft manufacturing plant will build temperature sensors, thermowells, transmitters, recorders, flow computers, safety barriers, displays and other instrumentation to meet the increasing demand for the North and South American markets.

The new plant will build virtually all of the components needed for Endress+Hauser temperature instrumentation. The plant will also have an N 1ST-traceable temperature calibration laboratory to ensure that all instruments leaving the factory are properly calibrated.

The temperature production facility is the second major investment that Endress+Hauser has made in Greenwood, Ind. In 2007, the company expanded its flow instrumentation manufacturing plant, also in Greenwood.

Endress+Hauser also builds level and pressure instrumentation at a plant in Greenwood, and analytical instrumentation at a plant in Anaheim, Calif.

"The continuing expansion of our manufacturing capabilities in the U.S. demonstrates our commitment to serving the North American market," said Hans-Peter Blaser, general manager of Endress+Hauser Wetzer USA. "We now manufacture, service and calibrate instruments for the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Brazil from our facilities in Indiana."
