A new JHSC standard is coming!
A new certification training standard
from the Ministry of Labour (MOL) is expected to take effect late 2015.
If you’re an Ontario manufacturer with 20 or more employees, you
probably need to have a Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) with
trained, certified members. |
What’s changing? |
Under the current standard, JHSC members may be trained in as little as 3 days and their certification does not expire. |
Under the new standard, training will take at least 5 days, and 1-day refresher training will be required every 3 years to maintain certification. |
It pays to train now.
- No one offers more extensive certification training — or understands your manufacturing workplace better — than WSPS. Our Part One (basic health & safety) and Part Two (hazard-specific) courses are taught in classrooms across Ontario, and include improved training options
with enhanced videos, more relevant workplace examples, and a
self-paced course that now offers access to an online learning
community. You also can have our expert trainers come on-site — any
shift, 24/7 — for convenient, practical group training.
