Cognex Corporation recently introduced two new 1D barcode readers - the DataMan 100 QL and DataMan 200 QL. The two fixed mount readers offer 1D barcode reading performance and are easily field-upgraded to add 2D Data Matrix and QR code reading capability if application needs change at a future date.

The new additions can read codes that have marks that are low contrast, damaged, or distorted. A simple software upgrade also makes them ‘future proof’.
