B&R and Cognex announce partnership

Written by  MA Staff March 28, 2011
Cognex, a provider of industrial image processing sensors and systems, has partnered with automation equipment provider B&R to use POWERLINK in the In-Sight line of products from Cognex.

"The result of this co-operation is a complete solution that incorporates visualization, control and drive technology for high-speed and high-precision product monitoring in production line operation. The Cognex In-Sight product line is optimally integrated in the B&R system via POWERLINK," stated Hans Wimmer, B&R managing director.

Machine manufacturers will benefit from the synchronization of Cognex In-Sight products and the B&R control system, as well as the easy integration of a wide range of machine designs, the partners explained. The new vision solution is also highly compatible with all POWERLINK-based B&R product lines.
