Delcam's North American subsidiary updates facility

Written by  MA Staff May 20, 2011
Delcam's North American subsidiary in Windsor, Ont., has renovated its existing premises to meet the growing demand for the CAD/CAM software provider's advanced manufacturing solutions - ArtCAM, Delcam for SolidWorks, FeatureCAM, PowerMILL, PowerSHAPE, PowerINSPECT and PartMaker.

The North American office in Windsor opened its doors in 1997 to service the increasing number of customers situated in Ontario, Michigan and other industrial areas across North America. It is now one of five offices located in North America - Salt Lake City, Utah, Fort Washington, Penn., Pasadena, Calif. and Toronto, Ont. - to support over 10,000 customers and more than 40 sales partners situated throughout the United States and Canada.

The main benefit of the office renovations will be the introduction of a newly designed demo centre and training facilities.

"The demo centre was created in the Delcam Windsor office because of the expertise that Delcam can offer with the experienced and senior application engineers there," said Glenn McMinn, president of Delcam North America. "Delcam has worked hard to earn its reputation for quality customer service. It has been an important factor in making us the world's leading specialist supplier of machining software in the CIMdata rankings and in helping us to achieve record sales last year. This state-of-the-art facility is another element in the high-quality support we provide."

Commenting on the local support, Mark Cadogan, VP of sales, North America, said, "Having a demo centre here will not only benefit customers and prospects in the health care markets, but also other areas of manufacturing by showing how technology and Delcam solutions can be applied by companies that want to increase their productivity, improve their quality and reduce their lead times."
