Sowing the seeds for growth

But for companies focused on the long term and not what's going to happen in the next 24 or 48 hours, the undeniable fact is that there is still considerable growth taking place in the world's emerging economies; Canadian manufacturers that are positioned to take advantage of that growth are the ones that will not only survive, but thrive in the coming years.

Our second annual Advanced Manufacturing/KPMG Executive Roundtable gathered a diverse group of successful manufacturing executives to discuss how their companies are looking beyond immediate challenges, developing long-term strategic goals for growth and, competing and winning in global emerging markets.

During the spirited conversation, the assembled executives touched on a variety of topics related to growth, including: improving value-added activities, investment in R&D and technology, global supply chains, finance and taxation, and competition.
