Dec. 9, 2014 – Shimco, a manufacturer of precision parts, laminated and edge bonded shims, tapers and spacers, received the the Innovation award at the Markham Board of Trade’s 2014 Business Excellence Awards Gala last month.
The award recognizes a successful business that fosters a culture of innovation in technology, manufacturing or marketing, according to the board. An independent team of volunteers from the Markham, Ont., business community interviewed nominees to determine the finalists and the award recipients.
“Innovation is at the core of what we do at Shimco, and is reflected in our state-of-the-art product design and technology, and efficiency in our manufacturing processes. This award recognizes our company’s success both locally and internationally,” said Peter Voss, company president and owner.
