Franklin Empire to acquire distribution business

Sept. 6, 2014 – Franklin Empire and Measuremax have entered into an agreement of purchase and sale regarding the impending acquisition of Measuremax’s distribution business by Franklin Empire.

Measuremax is a supplier of process and instrumentation products based in Peterborough, Ont. In conjunction with this acquisition, Franklin Empire will become the Siemens Exclusive Distributor for process and instrumentation products for the majority of the Province of Ontario, in addition to other major brands in the process and instrumentation product category.

The remaining Measuremax business is not part of this acquisition and will continue under Measuremax Inc. The sale is expected to close on October 1, and Franklin Empire will continue operating this business unit in its existing facility in Peterborough.
