Auto parts maker Martinrea names new CEO

Oct. 21, 2014 – Auto parts maker Martinrea International Inc. has announced the appointment of longtime industry executive Pat D’Eramo as its next president and CEO. D’Eramo will join the company November 1, replacing Nick Orlando.

The appointment of D’Eramo, 52, follows what Martinrea says was a comprehensive search process by the board of directors.

D’Eramo was most recently president of Dana Corp.’s commercial vehicle technology group, leading the global heavy truck driveline business, with a presence in the Americas, Europe, India, Australia and a major joint venture in China. Previously, he was the chief manufacturing officer, Asia-Pacific, North America and South America, and president North America for Benteler Automotive, an automotive metal forming company. From 2001 to 2009, he worked for Toyota, serving as a vice-president of manufacturing after holding several general manager roles.

Orlando will continue to provide consulting services to the company as needed, Martinrea said.

“We thank Nick Orlando for his many years of dedicated service to build this company from scratch, and wish him the best as he takes some time for himself,” executive chairman Rob Wildeboer said in a statement. “He will continue to assist us as a consultant and his knowledge base, skill and expertise will remain a great asset for us.”

Martinrea International, with 38 plants in North and South America, Europe and Asia, makes steel and aluminum metal parts, assemblies and modules, and fluid management systems focused primarily on the automotive sector.
