Feb. 24, 2015 – Spoc Automation, an American engineering, software, and automation equipment manufacturing firm in the oil and gas industry, today announced it has completed its acquisition of KJ Controls Canada, a Spruce Grove, Alta.-based company.

The acquisition builds on the Spoc’s global footprint strategy to deliver its variable frequency drive products, cloud-based SCADA and automation solutions in the artificial lift controls space of the oil and gas industry.

It also brings new in-house capability to further develop the company’s integrated solution-based approach to oil field controls and automation solutions, it said.

“The completion of this acquisition allows us to now bring our Canadian customer base additional access to 500-plus years of automation and control expertise, expanded inventory, new product developments and world-class field service capacities right in the heart of Canada’s oil and gas industry,” said Bobby Mason, Spoc Automation president.

“We could not be happier with becoming part of the Spoc Automation team,” said Barry Martel, president of KJ Controls Canada.

“We have developed a great relationship over the last decade with the SPOC Automation team and it became evident that the company’s cultures aligned. Together we hope to bring better service, products and automation solutions to our customers.”
