Eaton’s Perth facility celebrates 35 years

Oct. 13, 2015 – Eaton’s Perth Distribution Centre in Perth, Ont., recently celebrated its 35th anniversary. The facility originally opened in 1980 under the former Westinghouse brand, and according to company officials, it continues to be a “critical component in the success of Eaton’s Canadian operations through its ability to respond to and service customers.” 

A celebration was held October 2 that included a luncheon, employee draws and mementos for employees. A picture story board displayed years past and present, including photos of numerous employees that have been a part of the 35-year history of the distribution centre.

In attendance were 11 current employees that have reached their own milestone of 35 years of service with Eaton, along with the many long-term and current employees that have reached personal milestones of their own.  

Joining the team to celebrate the occasion was Steve Boccadoro, vice president; Perry D’Ortenzio, vice-president, sales and marketing; John Iannuzzi, human resources manager; and Ed Reeves, supply chain manager.

“Along with many stories and laughs; it was a very successful and entertaining afternoon that allowed all employees and guests to celebrate and reminisce of the successful years past, and also look to the future as we plan for many more years of success in the Perth facility,” said company representatives.   

Eaton is a power management company with 2014 sales of $22.6 billion. The company offers energy-efficient solutions with the goal of helping its customers manage electrical, hydraulic and mechanical power more efficiently and safely.
