TÃœV Rheinland has promoted east coast regional manager Rick Patterson to the position of chief operating officer (COO), where he will manage all operations for TÃœV Rheinland of North America Inc. from the company’s headquarters in Newtown, Conn.

A veteran of regulatory and global compliance, he has spent six years in various management positions at the company’s Boxborough, Mass. office. In 2003, he began working with TÃœV Rheinland as the regional sales manager for the Mid-Atlantic states. Three years later, he was promoted to regional manager for the northeast and, in 2008, took on the role of east coast regional manager.

Patterson’s expertise with sales and business negotiations was instrumental in forging relationships with several Tier I companies.

During his time at the company, he has made several major contributions to the company’s growing operations. He played a key role in TÃœVRheinland’s expansion of its northeastern operations. Additionally, he helped further refine the company’s internal processes to increase efficiency, delivery and quality of its services to better serve its client base.
