Rocand continues expansion with new plant in Mexico

Mar. 11, 2016 – Building on 20 years of growth, Rocand has announced the launch of its new plant in Silao, Mexico — a 4,128-square-metre facility equipped with high-speed 5-axis CNC machines and injection presses for mold making and plastic-part injection, both for production and prototypes.

“With this new manufacturing plant, Rocand is able to increase its production capacity and collaborate even more closely with its clients and partners,” said Sarah Bégin, vice president, operations. Rocand says that within the next five years, Rocand Molde y Plástico S de RL de CV expects to employ more than 100 people.

Founded in Quebec City, Que., in 1996, Rocand specializes in design and manufacturing of molds and automated equipment for injection and extrusion blow molding for high-tech plastic parts.
