Saelig Amplicon Impact-D 100 PC controller

Jan. 11, 2016 – Saelig has announces the Amplicon Impact-D 100 — a compact, fan-less embedded PC powered by the Atom processor, the Intel Atom E3845.

The 6.3 in. x 3.2 in. x 5.7 in. controller is suitable for installations requiring high reliability and where space is at a premium, says the company. With a typical power draw of 10W, the embedded system can be powered by either a battery or solar panel when installed in remote installations. According to Saelig, the processor offers an Intel Gen.7 graphics engine, high bandwidth DDR3L 1333MHz memory, Burst Technology 2.0, dynamic power sharing and quad-core power, with 64-Bit OS compatibility. The Atom quad-core technology supports 4 cores/4 threads with 2MB of L2 Cache, which Saelig says allows multiple applications and services to run simultaneously and makes the device run faster and more responsively. The unit houses four DB9 connectors for serial communications: COM1, 3, and 4 support RS232, while COM2 supports RS232, 422 and 485.
