Siemens has offered a range of two-phase controlled SIRIUS 3RW30 soft starters, suitable for standard applications up to 75HP/480V. SIRIUS 3RW40, which additionally offers motor overload, intrinsic device and thermistor motor protection, also masters demanding tasks within the power range of 10 to 400HP/600V. It has a power range of 20 to 1200HP/600V, a new torque control feature and settable current limiting to prevent torque surges and current peaks during motor starting and stopping.
