Mar. 22, 2016 – B&K Precision says its 600B and 601B handheld battery capacity analyzers offer an “enhanced design” over former models 600 and 601.

Both new version provide Kelvin clamps and can measure the capacity of sealed lead acid (SLA) batteries with Ah ranges up to 100 Ah. According to the company, these new models offer an “affordable solution” to anyone responsible for the test and maintenance of SLA batteries used in backup power UPS, emergency lighting, fire alarms, and other electrical systems. Notable improvements to the previous models are the new rubber keypad and “high quality” Kelvin clamps that are attached to the instruments via strain reliefs, explains B&K, adding that the battery analyzers “continue to provide the same easy-to-use interface as their predecessors and are powered by the battery under test, eliminating the need for external power to use the instrument.”
