Advantech launches wireless solutions EKI-6331AN, EKI-6332GN

Aug. 9, 2016 – Advantech’s IIoT Automation Group has announced the launch of two new “high performance” wireless solutions, the EKI-6331AN and the EKI-6332GN, describing them as “cost effective” solutions for a range of environments requiring 2.4 GHz (802.11 b/g/n) and 5 GHz (802.11 a/n) channels.

Both models come with omnidirectional external antenna to provide increased flexibility in position, an operating temperature range of -20 to 70 C, IP55 certification for harsh environments and include passive PoE (Power over Ethernet) to reduce the amount of wiring required, says Advantech. Additional features of the two models include wall or pole ring mounting, enterprise level encryption, 802.11 DFS (dynamic frequency selection) and support for WMM and IGMP snooping protocols.
