Wireless temperature transmitter

Emerson Process Management recently announced the expansion of its Smart Wireless solutions with the introduction of its Rosemount 848T wireless temperature transmitter for high-density temperature measurement. The 848T includes a new electronic device display user interface to deliver important configuration and information. The transmitter monitors up to four independently configurable RTD, thermocouple, ohm and millivolt inputs, as well as four to 20 mA inputs, allowing users to access more temperature measurements. The resulting increased visibility to plant operations allows for proactive maintenance and monitoring of key assets. The transmitter is fully compatible with any WirelessHART network. The device is self-powered and uses SmartPower technology to provide an intrinsically safe power module with long battery life.
