Salmon Arm, B.C.-based Technology Brewing Corp., an automation solutions provider, has been named as a SICK sales channel partner to the wood products industry throughout North America. SICK is a leading manufacturer of sensors, safety systems, machine vision and automatic identification products for factory and logistics automation.
Technology Brewing Corp. will support original equipment manufacturers in the wood industry, including lumber, engineered wood and panel-board; and will also target the furniture and millwork equipment markets in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
Sensor, safety, machine vision and automatic identification solutions from SICK are ideal for a range of wood processing applications, such as bucking, curve sawing, edging, trimming, automatic grading and both chop and rip optimization. Wood processing optimization increases yields, speeds up processing times, improves quality and allows mills to be more profitable, the company says.
