The maintenance team for Goodrich Landing Gear in Oakville, Ont., was awarded the PEM Maintenance Award at Maintrain Toronto’s banquet dinner on November 16. Ten members of the team attended the event, and mechanical technician Robert Hamilton spoke for the group when accepting the plaque, saying that it was an honour.

The PEM Maintenance Awards were first introduced in 1999, and through this program, Manufacturing AUTOMATION‘s sister publication, PEM, gives maintenance and facilities managers the opportunity to tell their own success stories. The mandate of the maintenance award is to acknowledge and reward maintenance excellence and asset management professionalism. Past award winners include EnCana Corporation, Grant Forest Products Inc., Canadian Tire, City of Mississauga, ArcelorMittal Dofasco, City of Toronto (Toronto Wastewater), Purolator Courier Ltd. and Gennum Corp.

Manufacturing AUTOMATION is one of the media sponsors of Maintrain.
