Michael F. Quinn is the new president and CEO of Applied Robotics, Inc., a global manufacturer of robotic end-of-arm tooling and connectivity solutions. Quinn replaces Thomas Petronis, who retired from the company on December 31, 2010.
A licenced professional engineer, Quinn comes to Applied Robotics with 45 years of senior management and technical experience with the U.S. Naval Nuclear Program at the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, and with an impressive record of leadership success in strategic planning, system engineering and root-cause analysis.
"Like Tom, I am passionate about the huge potential for the automation industry and Applied Robotics’ ability to harness that potential for our customers, employees and shareholders," said Quinn. "Over the next several months, Tom and I will continue working with the board and the management team to ensure a seamless transition with his retirement."
