Workers at Northstar Aerospace in Tecumseh, Ont., have voted in favour of a strike, if necessary, to back contract demands.

The Canadian Auto Workers says 72 percent of workers who voted Sunday approved the strike mandate.

The union has set a strike deadline of 11:59 p.m. on May 23.

Local 444 president Rick Laporte says there are a number of issues on the table, including a pay raise and “fairness in the workplace.”
