I/O modules

Pepperl+Fuchs KE-style enclosure-mount AS-Interface I/O modules are now available with advanced diagnostic features to help minimize troubleshooting and maximize run-time. With these redesigned modules, should an output wire be disconnected, switchable lead breakage detection automatically sends the peripheral fault signal to the upper level controller. Any input pulse or noise spike of less than two ms is automatically filtered out by input pulse suppression. Advanced diagnostic LEDs alert the user to reverse polarity, overload or short circuit conditions so that corrective action can be quickly taken. The KE-style AS-Interface modules feature four inputs and four outputs, and have a narrow 22.5-mm housing ideal for cramped enclosures. Additional features include: communication monitoring; inputs for two- and three-wire sensors; addressing jack; power supply of outputs from the external auxiliary voltage; selectable supply to the sensors (external or from the module); function display for bus, external auxiliary voltage, internal sensor supply, inputs and outputs.
