ImageRockwell Automation introduces two new Allen-Bradley CompactLogix controllers. The CompactLogix 1769-L35CR and 1769-L32C controllers offer flexible machine control in a compact, space-saving package, according to the company.

New features include integrated ControlNet network connectivity, which eliminates the need for modular communications, simplifies programming and cuts installation and configuration costs. The new controllers feature an easy-to-use front-accessible Network Access Port that speeds configuration, while an integrated ControlNet port mounted on the bottom of the controller allows out-of-the-way cable installation and reduces connector strain for increased reliability. In addition to integrated ControlNet functionality, the CompactLogix 1769-L35CR offers redundant media to provide greater reliability in complex applications. It supports as many as 30 local I/O modules and offers 1.5 MB programming memory for powerful capacity in a small package. The CompactLogix 1769-L32C is designed for smaller scale, single media applications, supporting as many as 16 local I/O modules and providing 750 KB of programming memory.
