SME launches Canadian advanced manufacturing event

The Advanced Manufacturing Expo (AmExpo), Canada’s exclusive manufacturing event dedicated to the advanced manufacturing sector, is joining forces with AmCon Design & Contract Manufacturing Expo to provide a new event for Canadian manufacturers.

 AmExpo, produced by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) will take place Sept. 25-26 at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. These co-located events will offer Canadian manufacturing professionals a chance to gain valuable knowledge and insight on leveraging their current supply chain and production capabilities.  Attendees will also be able to compare contract manufacturing opportunities to suit their needs and achieve maximum competitiveness.   

“This partnership with SME’s AmExpo is a prime example of a collaborative effort between two leading events that are dedicated to supporting the bigger picture for recovery in the North American Manufacturing sector,” Diane Bourgeois, vice president, AmCon, said in a statement.

Approximately 150 exhibitors will showcase the latest in automation and robotics, contract manufacturing, design, CAD/CAM, rapid manufacturing, rapid prototyping, measurement, inspection and assembly offering attendees myriad options designed to improve productivity and processes.

The AmExpo is designed for a range of industries including aerospace, automotive, energy, nanotechnology, materials manufacturing, food processing, information technology, medical manufacturing, pharmaceutical and biotechnology.
