Pepperl+Fuchs has introduced the new VisuNet RM family of remote monitors for use in hazardous locations. VisuNet RM eliminates copper and fiber optic KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) interface technology, while leveraging open network-based Visualization over Ethernet (VOE) technology founded on Microsoft standards. VOE technology facilitates operation of up to 32 remote monitoring stations per server, and even supports redundant servers, pathways and hot switchover. VisuNet RM is available with optional wireless Ethernet as part of Pepperl+Fuchs Systems and Solutions offering. VisuNet integrates all the benefits of a modern network infrastructure based on standard Ethernet components in simple, remote solutions where the display, keyboard, and mouse are up to two kilometers away from the PC in the safe area, or as a full-scale panel PC installed in the hazardous location. The VisuNet product family is designed as a component system that adapts to the individual requirements of each process plant.
