Kruger Inc. will indefinitely stop production at one of three paper machines at its newsprint mill in Sherbrooke, Que., affecting 98 employees.

The Montreal-based forest products company said the decision to cut 100,000 tonnes of annual newsprint production and also close its de-inked pulp operations at the mill, effective November 14, is due to falling demand.
