Oct. 30, 2014 – Air Liquide Canada has officially inaugurated its new facility in Cambridge, Ont. The facility, which includes a filling plant, a distribution centre and an administrative office, represents a $2-million investment in the region.
With close to 50,000 square feet, the Cambridge facility combines both a large distribution centre and a filling plant, supplying industrial customers with compressed and liquid gases. The filling plant also includes Air Liquide’s proprietary, state-of-the-art gas mixing system. Additionally, the distribution centre will carry thousands of welding products, and will supply Air Liquide’s stores across Canada.
“The opening of our new Cambridge facility follows a number of acquisitions made over the last five years in Southwestern Ontario by Air Liquide Canada to meet the rising need for industrial gases and welding products for the growing customer base in the region. This new facility will position Air Liquide for continued growth as a leading industrial gas provider in Canada,” said Albert Atkins, general manager, Ontario Region at Air Liquide Canada.
