Chris Bala named VP sales & marketing Hirschmann Car Communication

Jan. 22, 2015 – Hirschmann Car Communication, a supplier of transmitter and receiver systems for M2M (machine-to-machine) and automotive communications, has appointed Christopher Bala as vice president of sales and marketing for the North American business.
Based at the regional headquarters in Auburn Hills, Mich., Bala is responsible for all sales and marketing activities for Hirschmann’s Solutions business in the North and South American markets, including business development for infotainment, antenna, tuner systems, telematics, asset tracking and automation and energy applications.
He formerly served as OPS Solutions’ vice-president of sales and marketing, as well as vice-president for OEM business development at Energy Conversion Devices / United Solar Ovonic.
According to the company, Bala comes to Hirschmann with experience and expertise in demand creation in the automotive, power electronics and industrial automation industries, with a strong background in go-to-market strategy, product management, business development, and sales and marketing team management.
