Jan. 23, 2015 – The Canadian Press is reporting that Bombardier will lay off about one-third of the 430 workers at its railway manufacturing plant in La Pocatiere, Que., at the end of April for a six-month period.
According to the Canadian Press, the company will be temporarily halting production of rail cars for the Montreal subway because of the late delivery of a key part from a supplier to its contract partner Alstom.
