Feb. 20, 2015 – Belden’s new EESX20 and EESX30 Hirschmann embedded Ethernet switches promise to allow automation devices to be quickly and reliably equipped with Gigabit switch technology. According to the company, the new switches eliminate the need to worry about challenging switch technology, as well as reduce time to market and the length of the overall development process, allowing manufacturers to focus the recaptured time on core capabilities. Both models can be mounted on the main circuit board of automation devices with an Ethernet interface. “Because all functions can be updated with a simple software update, our Embedded Ethernet Switches offer maximum flexibility and security for the future,” adds Rolf-Dieter Sommer, product manager at Hirschmann. EESX20 features eight Ethernet ports, while EESX30 offers two additional Gigabit uplinks.
