Apr. 9, 2015 – Schneider Electric announced today that Juan Macias has been named its Canada president, reporting to Laurent Vernerey, North American president and CEO. In his new role as country president, he will “continue to elevate Schneider Electric’s presence in Canada as a leader in energy management and automation solutions,” said the company.

Macias comes to Schneider Electric from General Electric (GE), where he spent the last decade in leadership roles in Electrical Construction Products and Digital Energy Management. Prior to GE, he spent 15 years at ABB in sales and management across a broad spectrum of products and solutions in power transmission and distribution.

Daniel Péloquin, whom Macias replaces, has moved to an advisory role with Schneider Electric Canada and will continue to represent Schneider’s views on energy efficiency, sustainability, smart cities, corporate social responsibility, and more at conferences across North America.
