Pepperl+Fuchs acquires MACTek

Sept. 14, 2015 – Pepperl+Fuchs, a global provider of process automation and applications, has acquired MACTek, a provider of HART protocol devices. The move is part of Pepperl+Fuchs’ strategy to further extend its integrated solutions offerings and strengthen its position in the WirelessHART market, according to company representatives.

“We are pleased to add the MACTek WirelessHART product line to our existing portfolio,” said Jim Bolin, Pepperl+Fuchs’ executive vice president of the Americas. “This acquisition complements our current product lines well, and allows us to provide an even greater breadth of services to our customers.”

Founded in 1993, MACTek specializes in HART modems, including Viator HART Interface modems. One of the company’s most recent innovations, the Bullet WirelessHART adapter, can be mounted on a device rated for hazardous areas.
