Schunk pick and place unit PPU-E 15

Sept. 14, 2015 – The Schunk PPU-E 15 is a linear motor driven pick and place unit that is designed for electronic and small part assembly applications.

With a width of 60 mm and media supply via the back panel, it allows several units to be mounted side by side. If rotary indexing tables are used, more units can be arranged in a circle, or a smaller table diameter can be used. The PPU-E 15 requires 0.6 seconds to complete a cycle with a horizontal stroke of 145 mm, and a vertical stroke of 45 mm. That includes a payload of 1 kg, and 2 x 50 ms gripping time. At its peak, the PPU-E 15 achieves 100 picks per minute, according to the company.
