Oct. 5, 2015 – Festo’s pinch valves VZQA with full bore passage claim to be a cost-efficient and energy-efficient alternative to diaphragm and ball valves in process automation applications.

Festo describes them as a clean and technically straightforward solution for controlling and shutting off a range of media flows, whether liquid, fibrous, particulate or granular. Full bore passage minimizes flow resistance, preventing the valve from becoming blocked or clogged, so media flows freely, it adds. VZQA pinch valves come in two versions: a normally open (N/O) version for media pressures from 0 to 4 bar and a normally closed (N/C) version for 0 to 6 bar media pressures. The components of the VZQA are individually configurable, whether it’s connection types, materials or pinch valve sleeves, adds Festo.
