Methods Machine Tools debuts FT-250SY milling lathe

Nov. 3, 2015 – Methods Machine Tools has expanded its FEELER FT-Series High Performance CNC turning Centres line with the FT-250SY, which features a Y-Axis with 100 mm (+/- 50 mm) of travel, promising increased rigidity and a more robust machining environment.

“For excellent vibration dampening when turning in hard materials, including interrupted cutting, the FT-250SY features a single-piece structure with boxways, 45-degree slant bed and robust base,” adds the company. The machine boasts a 30 HP, 3,500 RPM 10-in. (chuck diameter) primary spindle in addition to a 20 HP, 4,500 RPM 8-in. (chuck diameter) sub-spindle.
