Jan. 11, 2016 – New additions to Wago’s XTR line of harsh environment (-40 C to 70 C extreme temperature and 5g vibration resistance) I/O, promise to provide added functionality, delivering performance class PLCs, smart grid technology and energy monitoring.

Described as “compact and powerful,” the PFC200 controller is now available in several harsh environment XTR variants. It features modules with varying communication interfaces: Ethernet, RS-232/RS-485, CAN, CANopen, and Profibus-DP-Slave interfaces; and DNP3, IEC 61850 and IEC 60870 protocols supporting use as a smart grid controller. As well, the 3-phase power measurement modules claim to expand the XTR application range with modules that monitor power consumption, power factors, harmonics and more.
