Feb. 4, 2016 – NKK Switches, a designer and manufacturer of electromechanical switching devices, has introduced Masanori Honda as the president of its North American operations, bringing with him more than 25 years of international business experience to the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based company.

An experienced executive, Honda most recently served as both a member of the board and executive vice president at Japan-based YKK Group, a zipper manufacturer. During his time at YKK, Honda managed all overseas operations for the company, “leading teams to strategically focus on supporting customer-based business growth.”

Under Honda’s guidance, NKK will seek to strengthen current customer relationships and offer customers more flexibility by adapting to the needs of the many markets the switch company serves. The company says the appointment signifies its “commitment to maintaining quality standards and building market share in the Americas.”

“Honda is a proven executive with a unique ability to adapt, having spent much of the last 27 years working in various international markets,” said Tomoshige Ohashi, president of NKK Switches Co., Ltd. “We share the same objectives for NKK Switches, and through his leadership, our vision for increased customer support, and innovative product development, can be attained.”

“Switches are part of a larger end product; they cannot stand alone. Therefore, to be successful, we must work closely with our customers and open the lines of communication to create a better product,” added Honda. “Using our vast network of distributors, OEMs and sales representatives, we will continue to push our development teams to continue to design innovative new products in support of market demand.”
