SICK has launched its new OD Value family of optical displacement sensors, the latest addition the company’s existing line of high-accuracy measurement solutions. Similar to SICK’s other optical displacement sensors, the OD Value performs a variety of interface capabilities for high-accuracy quality control applications in the automotive, robotics and electronics/semiconductor markets.
These new sensors use CMOS–a superior technology that allows measurement of targets regardless of color or reflectivity from bright shiny objects to dark remission objects all with high accuracy in a stand-alone sensor. The OD Value also has an easy-to-read bar graph display for fast installation and maintenance. The line is versatile due to the many sensing ranges and choice of four different output styles.
