Jul. 6, 2016 – At Automatica 2016, Montech introduced its LT40 transport system, Industry 4.0-ready belt conveyors TB30 and TB40, and quick-set profile system to show attendees through a live stream feed from its Derendingen, Switzerland, headquarters.

According to the company, the conveyor sections of the transport system LT40 have been converted from belt to toothed pulley drive. β€œIn this way we have cut energy consumption, increase load capacity by 25 per cent and reduce wear. For greater accuracy, the workpiece carriers as well as the positioning and placing units have been provided with a centering device,” says Gianluca Aloisi, director sales of Montech. The belt conveyors TB30 and TB40 promise to be more user-friendly and efficient than previous models. Operation is controlled via a touch panel on the belt conveyor, allowing both standalone operation and parameter-driven control by way of a PLC. Meanwhile, the touch panel includes a status overview of the drive, displaying current, temperature and failure alerts. It also features a service page and an overview of the technical specifications of the conveyor.
