Vögtlin thermal mass flow meters now available with three-contact alarm module

Sept. 7, 2016 – Vögtlin Instruments AG has announced the availability of a three-contact alarm module with remote alarm reset for its red-y compact 2 series gas mass flow meter.

Suited for scientific gas flow measurements from 0-10 sccm up to 480 slpm, the flow meter has been “completely re-engineered” to operate on a single AA battery for up to six months, a Micro-USB power supply, or via a 12- 30 Vdc power supply, says the company. Units can also be supplied with up to three different gases or gas mixtures and offer a range of up to 100:1 with accuracy of ±1 per cent of full scale, it notes. A new alarm module, which can be retrofitted to red-y compact 2 devices already in the field, features: three alarm contacts; two optical isolated input channels (to optionally reset an alarm remotely); separately settable alarms; and customer configurable hysteresis, delay and alarm duration time.
