Fives launches Liné Machines Robotics

Oct. 7, 2016 – Fives Liné Machines says its Liné Machines Robotics platform will complement the traditional, large machine tool solutions already being provided to the aerospace, rail and heavy equipment industries.

The robotics solutions can be offered as an additional option, in conjunction with, the large machine solutions, it says. “The solutions from Liné Machines Robotics will assist manufacturers in maximizing the efficiency of new or current equipment,” says Guy Lalonde, president of Fives Liné Machines. “Additionally, our robotics efforts will contribute to increasing part reliability as well as taking certain processes from manual to automated.” The solutions will focus on seven core processes: milling, trimming and drilling; deburring and polishing; cleaning and surfacing; forming inspection and scanning; automation, tooling and part holding; and peripheral equipment for machine tools.
