Fluor performing two projects for Ingevity in China

Jan. 16, 2017 – Fluor is providing engineering, procurement and construction management services for two Ingevity facilities in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, and Gaolan Port Economic Zone of Zhuhai, China.
Ingevity provides specialty chemicals and high-performance carbon materials and technologies that are used in a variety of applications, including asphalt paving, oil exploration and production, agrochemicals, adhesives, lubricants, publication inks and automotive components that reduce gasoline vapour emissions.
At Ingevity’s manufacturing facility in Suzhou, Fluor is adding one new production line and relocating a production line from another plant. Fluor is also responsible for a new laboratory building at Ingevity’s existing manufacturing facility in Zhuhai. Both facilities produce activated carbon, which is used in automotive emission controls and water, food and beverage purification products.
“Having designed and built Ingevity’s original facility in Zhuhai, we are honoured to be supporting Ingevity as they expand to meet the demand for their activated carbon products,” said Ken Choudhary, president of Fluor Energy & Chemicals business for the Asia-Pacific region.
Fluor says it has been active in China for nearly 40 years, completing more than 350 projects across 20 provinces and municipalities.
