Maple Systems has introduced its new 4.3-inch high-resolution widescreen Graphic OIT — the HMI5043N. This touchscreen graphic OIT has features and capabilities found in larger HMIs costing hundreds more. Yet unlike its larger siblings, its unobtrusive size (5" x 4" x 1.5") allows panel mounting almost anywhere. And with its portrait-landscape mode, the HMI5043N can be functionally mounted either horizontally or vertically to accommodate any space requirement.

With a vast capacity for multiple screens, pop-ups, alarms, trend graphs, animations, recipes, and more – this powerful HMI can be configured to command equipment like a packaging or labeling machine, replace expensive analog lights, gauges and switches, or it can be configured to operate as a sophisticated little control panel for any unique OEM task. And budget-wise, its affordability quickly trumps the expensive analog controls it was designed to replace.

This capable unit is powered by a 400 MHz processor, 128 MB of memory, and it has a Client USB port, as well as a Serial port. With a 65,000 color high-contrast widescreen TFT display, the HMI5043N will showcase application graphics in crisp rich high-resolution color. Its impressive resolution is 480 x 272 pixels, and its widescreen display is 30 percent wider than a traditional standard screen configuration. In addition this little HMI has a high-contrast backlit LED with an analog-resistive touchscreen offering infinite touch response points.

Additionally, Maple Systems EZware 5000 Configuration Software lets a user design and customize OEM applications. The HMI5043N has a IP65, NEMA4 and NEMA4X (indoor) rating, and certifications include CE, EMI FCC Class A, and the cULus is pending. Maple backs the quality of the HMI5043N with a two-year warranty and full technical support.
