Kaspro USA has released the newest generation of its Galaxy series of operator interfaces. The new Galaxy-101 model caters to the growing demand for widescreen technology in industrial and building automation. The 10.1-inch TFT Widescreen (16:9), with its 800 x48 resolution, is  suitable for the use of bright vivid graphics in up to 65,536 colours. The 50,000-hour lifespan rated displays are housed in an industrial grade ABS enclosure and facilitate an operating temperature between –10ºC (14ºF) and 55ºC (131ºF).

Customization and communication takes a front row seat in this new design and underscores the Kaspro view concerning HMI usage. KA-Software, the company’s in house developed configuration software, used on all Kaspro HMIs, offers users the option of displaying their own logo or graphics message as the unit “powers-up.”

Kaspro opted for a "neutral styled" front panel that does not have any corporate logo or model name on it. The company firmly believes that many machine and panel builders prefer the non-branded look since it, together with the logo-at-power-on feature, enables a total customized look.

Multiple communication options are provided via the Ethernet port, two USB host ports, one USB slave port, one printer port, three serial ports and an additional SD slot. KA-Software includes more than 100 drivers, providing connectivity to all major, and many minor, controller brands. Kaspro encourages clients to stay up to date by making its KA-Software (including a future versions) available for free download from their website.
