EPLAN Harness proD 2.6 3D/2D software

Mar. 19, 2017 – EPLAN describes its Harness proD version 2.6 as an intuitive 3D/2D software that covers “all of today’s requirements for convenient, high quality wiring and wire harness engineering.”

New features include enhanced automatic wire dimensioning and intuitive routing of wires with predefined lengths, explains the company, adding that open interfaces allow for enhanced collaboration between mechanical and electrical engineering. As well, version 2.6 boasts “significant improvements” in the handoff of design data to manufacturing drawings, such as integrating 2D wire drawings, which are automatically derived from the 2D/3D design environment and specify both dimension points and terminal points. The company says this allows for automatic dimensioning which can help save time and ensure accurate results.
