Distance isn’t an issue with the updated 8.4- and 10.4-inch HG3G OI touchscreens from Idec. When you need access to your machine or equipment, but can’t get to the factory floor or even to the office, all you need is a computer, PDA or Smartphone, and you can remotely access, monitor and control your touchscreen through a web browser, as well as troubleshoot, test and do maintenance. The HG3G OI touchscreen can be mounted in either portrait or landscape mode, depending on your space requirements. It supports PictBridge Protocol for USB printers, which allows you to print screen images or the alarm log history. And depending on your application, the expansion MicroSmart I/O module (mounted on the back of the HG3G), which provides simple I/O control, now has the option to perform independently of the touchscreen scan time by using Cyclic Script. These OI touchscreens offer a vivid screen and fast CPU processor of 400MHz for quick operation and response times, the company says. They are high-definition quality LCD TFT screens, with SVGA 800 by 600 pixels, providing sharp images and superior visibility, plus 65,536 colours to make screen views realistic and crisp.
