Mettler-Toledo offers updated CIVCore 11.5 vision inspection software
April 7, 2017 | By Manufacturing AUTOMATION
Apr. 7, 2017 – The latest version of Mettler-Toledo’s CIVCore vision inspection software promises to support different hardware configurations and features the Dot Print tool for inspecting inkjet and other dot matrix-style print.
According to the company, the user-friendliness and increased range of configuration options allows manufacturers to upgrade older vision systems more easily. Another improvement is the merging of the client and server applications for CIVCore into a single application, says Mettler-Toledo, adding that this has resulted in significant speed increases on all systems, but particularly in systems using the Mosaic inspection technology. Mettler-Toledo says the dot print tool is specifically designed to help manufacturers verify the accuracy and quality of inkjet printing systems used to apply variable information, such as the expiration date on food. The company says the tool’s ability to compensate for distortion due to movement on the production line or uneven surfaces makes it far more accurate than past attempts.
