Research Triangle Park, N.C. – ISA and the Automation Standards Compliance Institute (ASCI) are introducing three certificate programs that will increase knowledge and awareness of the ISA84 standard.
According to ISA, each certificate program includes specialized training on ISA84 and an exam that is offered through Prometric testing centers. Those who register for the training course and the certificate program and successfully complete the exam will be issued an ISA certificate stating that they have successfully completed the specified certificate program.
There are three certificate programs available for ISA84: Safety Instrumented Systems Specialist, Safety Integrity Level Determination Specialist and Safety Instrumented Systems Hardware Design and Analysis Specialist.
All ISA84 Safety Instrumented Systems Certificates must be renewed every three years. To renew a certificate, applicants will be required to complete an application and document a minimum two years work experience in process safety (a year is defined as 1,500 hours of active employment).
